The Parksville Market
Real estate in Parksville is more similar to its larger sister city, Nanaimo, than its neighbouring communities. That is, Parksville sees a greater range of properties and property types than one might think. With a growing population (as well as an influx of summer tourists and residents), this city offers single-family homes, townhomes, and condos.
Parksville's real estate ranges in price point, type, and architectural style. Most prevalent are single-family homes for sale, typically bungalows or split-level properties, though newer builds tend to take the coastal style and modernize this.
>As the city continues to expand, new construction properties are currently in development or under construction. Parksville's newest development is Riverbend: a small, modern townhome community in the east end.

Beyond this, the city is also known for its downtown area, which is centered on the Alberni Highway (that thins to a 2-lane road). Around this area is residential neighbourhoods, and the coast sees The Beach Club Resort: a waterfront hotel with a spa.
Other highlights include the various community parks, the Brigadoon Golf Course, and the Wembley Mall in the west side of Parksville.
